Award-winning software developers Access Accounting Ltd, has announced a major management restructure to meet its future strategy for growth. The changes, which include the inauguration of holding company Access Technology Group Ltd, are part of the company's ambitious plans to achieve 50% growth in the current year.
"It made business sense at this pivotal point in time to create the holding company under which our four subsidiaries, including Access Accounting, operate" said founder Alistair O'Reilly who takes up a new position as MD for Access Technology Group.
"Having acquired three new companies over an 18-month period, we recognised the need to both focus efforts within each company and on the wider group strategy to achieve our new business sales targets this year - and the change in structure was integral to this. The move will ensure parity between all four businesses, which have great synergies and will be able to work to mutual benefit, whilst pursuing their own specialities and succeeding in their own right," he continued.
The restructure sees former customer services director, John Beech, take the helm as managing director of Access Accounting. Having started out as a customer of Access, he has been with the business for more than 10 years and has played an important role in its growth, with experience in all areas of the business including software development, marketing and sales. Beech will bring his in-depth industry knowledge to the day-to-day running of the company.
Kevin Misselbrook, previously corporate projects manager, will now take on the role of customer service director. Misselbrook has a prominent profile within the software industry, having served on many working parties and authored the Code of Practice standards for the Business Application Software Developers Association (BASDA).
A further change sees former marketing manager, Barry Anderson, being promoted to marketing director. Anderson joined the company in 2004, having previously held directorships in operations management. He will be responsible for all Group marketing matters.
The new team will be central to spearheading the drive towards the 2006 corporate goals.
