It was the accessibility of data and reporting facilities that attracted Skot to Access Accounts. “With Access we have been able to reverse the sort order on dates. Typically other systems’ screens will show the oldest item first but it is better with bigger accounts to view the most recent item first. Access gives you the option to see whatever you want first,” said Financial Controller John Mace. “On the sales side, prior to Access, we couldn’t go back to an order or enquiry once it was completed. Information within Access can be held as long as we want and the ODBC facility enables us to look directly onto the file using a spreadsheet.”
